BHSS

The Bachelor of Health Sciences Society (BHSS) is a student organization composed of a network of clubs and committees that are consistently evolving to meet the changing needs of our fellow students. Our mandate is to promote unity, collaboration and participation within the BHSc (Honours) Program in addition to providing educational and extra-curricular opportunities to our peers in order to enhance university experiences. Alongside these objectives, the society is designed to allow students to achieve both scholastic and personal growth.

The BHSS collaborates closely with the Health Sciences representatives on the Student Representative Assembly (SRA). Riaz Sayani-Mulji and Joshua Wiener, the incumbent SRA representatives for Health Sciences, explain the purpose and importance of the SRA:

Did you know that as BHSc (Honours) students, all of you are members of the McMaster Students Union (MSU)? Part of your supplementary student fees go to the MSU, which works to provide the best possible services, address undergraduate student concerns, as well as lobby the administration, provincial government, and federal government to improve McMaster’s academic quality. The Student Representative Assembly (SRA), the MSU’s governing body, is composed of 35 undergraduate students elected by their peers from different faculties.
